Summary: The IT Equipment/Inventory Technician is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, organizing and replenishing supplies, and managing IT assets to support internal teams. Under the direction of the Help Desk Manager, this role ensures timely deployment of equipment, assists in lifecycle management including e-waste disposition, and supports customer service ticket fulfillment to ensure smooth IT operations across the organization. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

Inventory Control 

• Receive and track inventory items upon arrival 

• Perform regular physical inventory of assets and peripherals 

• Verify shipments for accuracy and report discrepancies 

• Re-stock IT storage locations and conduct cycle counts 

• Troubleshoot and analyze inventory issues; recommend corrective actions 

• Fulfill IT equipment ticket requests in a timely manner 

• Notify stakeholders when inventory levels are below threshold 

Asset Management & Reporting 

• Maintain accurate records using spreadsheets and inventory management software 

• Assist in updating asset management database 

• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts for inventory processes 

Customer Service & Support 

• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to fulfill IT support tickets 

• Deliver excellent customer service to internal clients and stakeholders 

• Interact professionally with executives, vendors, and contractors 

• Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed 

• Perform other duties as assigned 

Qualifications 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 

• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to shifting priorities 

• Demonstrated customer service and interpersonal skills 

• Competent in listening, documentation, and planning 

Education and Experience 
Required: 

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in technical support within a large enterprise environment 

• Technical degree or IT certification 

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and inventory software 

• Familiarity with IT hardware, peripherals, and stock control practices 

Preferred: 

• Experience supporting dynamic or shift-based work environments 

• Knowledge of e-waste practices and asset lifecycle management 

Work Environment/Physical Demands: General office environment where you will walk, bend, and stand for periods of time.
